In the twenty-first century, along with the rapid development of the globaleconomy, more and more Chinese Women breakthrough career ceiling and becomeleaders. Female leaders occupy a large proportion in Chinese business managers,and their charisma is rising. Female leaders have strong affinity and love theircareers and life, which is the source of their charm. However, the process of theirleading is not smooth and always accompanied by a lot of thorny issues. Such as,affected by the Chinese tradition, the value characteristic of the male such asdecisive, strong, generous, forward-looking and so on, is thought to be closer to theideal image of the leader, so people held a bad impression on female leaders.Furthermore, we are facing a fast-changing economic environment and thecompetition between various types of enterprises is very intense. We must attachimportance to human resources which are the key resources for the enterprises toobtain sustainable competitive advantage, especially in the high-tech enterprises.Therefore, in order to achieve success, female leaders must break the shackle of thetradition and elevate their charisma and improve employee emotional attachment.Thus, the study of how female leaders use impression management to elevate theircharisma and improve employee emotional attachment is very important.Through reading a lot of the existing literature, we find that the impact ofimpression management on emotional attachment has been confirmed in the existingliterature, but how impression management affects the emotional attachment alsoworthy of our consideration. On the basis of previous research, we get impressionmanagement, charisma and emotional attachment together and build therelationships between them. We use SPSS software to conduct descriptive statisticalanalysis, reliability and validity analysis. At last, we conduct regression analysis andobtain our empirical results. We sum up the theoretical and practical significance of our study and give the outlook of future research. In this study, we analyze theimpact of impression management and charisma on emotional attachment. We divideimpression management into five dimensions. The five dimensions are ingratiation,self-promotion, intimidation, exemplification and supplication. Through empiricalresearch, we find (1) Female leader impression management have a significantimpact on the charisma and staff emotional attachment. Through regression analysiswe find there is a significant causal relationship between the five dimensions ofimpression management and charisma and emotional attachment.(2) The causalrelationship between female leader charisma and staff emotional attachment issignificant. Through regression analysis we find charisma has a significant impacton staff emotional attachment.(3) Charisma is the mediator between impressionmanagement and staff emotional attachment. Female leaders can use someimpression management strategies to enhance their charisma and improve employeeemotional attachment.
