Social exchange theory has been recognized as the theoretical basis of organizationalcitizenship behavior by academia.At the same time,the researchers agree thatorganizational citizenship behavior is driven by the motivation of social exchange.Fromthe perspective of social exchange,when the employees perceives organizational supportfor their work and material rewards,the employees will require themself to do somethinguseful for their company in exchange.However,the research show that employees’organizational citizenship behavior sometimes is not out of the motivation of socialexchange,but impression management.In order to affect leaders’ performanceevaluation,employees will take all kinds of impression management tactics to influenceleaders to judge their behavior and their purpose is to set up "good soldier" on leadershipimage.This kind of phenomenon does exist in the organization.However,domesticanalysis for the study of relationship between impression management and organizationalcitizenship behavior is not sufficient and the study of taking leader member exchange asintermediary variable of the study is few.Therefore,on the basis of theoretical studies from home and abroad,first of all,thispaper combe the related theoretical achievements orderly and puts forward researchhypothesis.Secondly,this article collects research data through questionnaires and usesSPSS and AMOS statistics software to program for data analysis, correlation analysis,exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and multipleregression analysis. Research results show that:(1)Impression management has asignificant positive impact on organizational citizenship behavior, and theboss-focus,job-focus and self-focus have positive correlation on OCB;(2)Impressionmanagement and leader member exchange also has a significant positive correlation andthree kinds of impression management strategy have positive correlation withOCB;(3)Leader member exchange has a significant positive impact on organizationalcitizenship behavior;(4)Leader member exchange has partial intermediary role in theinfluence of impression management on organizational citizenshipbehavior;(5)Boss-focus,job-focus and self-focus has partial intermediary role in theinfluence of impression management on organizational citizenship behavior;(6)The mediation effect of inspection method that Professor Wen ZhongLin puts forward isfeasible.
