Relationship Between Land Use And Economical Development In Xihe Distract Of Fu Xin City, Liaoning Province

Land use has a closer relation with economic development. Rational land use structure can provide nicely spatial support for local economic development. Vice versa, economic growth can also affect and change land use way or structure.Xihe is one of the districts of Fuxin City in Liaoning province, which stands in the middle of Fuxin City. Its side of east, north, west borders Fuxin Mongol Autonomous County. And Haizhou, Taiping District is neighbor to the south of Xihe. The administrative division of Xihe District has adjusted since June2002. The quantities of towns have become one from five, and urban area has increased three street office. The area has decreased from339.8to109.9square kilometer. The relationship between land use and economic development from2002to2009in Xihe was explored in the thesis so as to deeply understand how they affect with each other, which can attribute to achieve local sustainable land use and economic development.First, the relation between land use and economic development was described using SWOT-CLPV Method in qualitative way. The results indicated that advantage agriculture should be developed and industrial structure should be optimized. The expansion of construction land should change from extensive to intensive, and reduce new occupancy of agriculture land.Second, the mutual relationship between land use (including agriculture and construction) and economic factors such as population, GDP, industrial structure, and urbanization rate was discussed by means of Correlation Analysis in quantitative way.Third, the future trend of land use and economic development were forecasted separately adopting Gray Model and Multiple Linear Regressions. The possible relationship in the future about them was illustrated based on the predicting outcomes.Last, the research conclusion in the paper was drawn from above results.
