The traditional studies on the leadership focus on the positive aspect; nevertheless, the negative leaderbehaviors gradually become the spotlight to which the specialists in the organizational behavior attachimportance. As one of the negative leader behaviors, Abusive Supervision is studied by more and moredomestic and overseas researchers.Abusive supervision refers to subordinates’ perceptions of the extent to which supervisors engage inthe sustained display of hostile verbal and nonverbal behaviors, excluding physical contact. Therefore, theAbusive Supervision is bound to influence the subordinates’ psychic reactions, behaviors and performances.However, there are rare empirical researches on the abusive supervision, especially the mechanism bywhich the abusive supervision influences the subordinates’ behaviors and performances, which need to befurther exploited so as to provide more theoretical supports for the intervention strategies.This research adopts literature review, questionnaire survey in order to explore how the abusivesupervision influences the subordinates’ workplace deviance and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB).There are481employees in the questionnaire survey. The exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatoryfactor analysis (CFA), correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis and path analysis are adopted asthe main statistic analysis techniques. The conclusions are as follows:Firstly, as expected, the subordinates’ emotion of shame is significantly predicted by abusivesupervision; in other words, the subordinates who perceived their supervisors were more abusive weremore likely to experience shame.Secondly, the results show that the workplace deviance is significantly predicted by abusivesupervision, and there is a significantly negative correlation between abusive supervision and OCB.Thirdly, the results of this study suggest that shame partly mediate the influences of abusivesupervision on the subordinates’ workplace deviance.Finally, the results of this study suggest that shame partly mediate the influences of abusivesupervision on the subordinates’ OCB.
