Ceramic is China’s traditional characteristic industry, has a long history. With the vigorousdevelopment of ceramics, in modern times the building and sanitary ceramics industry as one of the majorcategories have a more rapid development.Especially since the reform and opening took place in China,there is a sustained rapid development in our building and sanitary ceramic industry.Building ceramic(ceramic tile and exterior wall tiles) total output from just2310square meters in1949grew to7.58billionsquare meters in2010; sanitary ceramic total output from just6000piece in1949grew to in174millionpiece in2010. In recent ten years building and sanitary ceramics production keep continuous growth inChina,being the first world.In addition China is not only building and sanitary ceramics production andconsumers,but also export power.Reform and opening up, especially after China’s entry into the WTO,China’s building and sanitary ceramics industry has accelerated the pace of international standards, andimprove the enterprise and the international competition ability of the product. The building and sanitaryceramics industry export value was about$4.63billion in2010,35.2times more than$128million in2000.We can see that our country building and sanitary ceramic products of international competitivenesshas been greatly improved.But proud achievements hidden behind some hidden trouble,at present there arehigh output and low class, enterprise and brand and exports less big but export unit price is low, and manyother problems in our building and sanitary ceramics industry.This a series of problems in our country atpresent led to China is building and sanitary ceramics big country but is not export power.Therefor toenhance the international competitiveness of our building and sanitary ceramics has become the domesticmany ceramic enterprise focus on a focus.Careful analysis and evaluation in building and sanitary ceramicinternational competitiveness,not only to help guide building and sanitary ceramics enterprises better face the international market with the production and business operation, and to the government to takereasonable macroeconomic policy provides an objective basis.This paper mainly can be divided into the following six parts:The first part of this paper brieflyintroduces the research background, domestic and foreign relevant products international competitivenessresearch achievements and research methods; The second part to the theory of comparative advantage andcompetitive advantage theory as the basis for the study of Chinese architecture health ceramic internationalcompetitiveness; The third part respectively introduce the production and exportation of our building andsanitary ceramics;The fourth part using international market share, trade competitiveness index andrevealed comparative advantage index three index determination of our country, the internationalcompetitiveness of sanitary ceramics measurement and assessment; The fifth part of our country accordingto the sanitary ceramics international competitive power of analysis that effect on our country’s sanitaryceramics international competitive factors; The sixth part explore the way of China to enhance theinternational competitiveness of sanitary ceramics.
