With the emergence of the service economy era,the world economy has gradually transformed into a service-oriented economy.Because of the characteristics of knowledge-based technology intensive, producer services trade has developed rapidly in recent years, and has become a pillar industry in many developed countries. Its development level has also become an important evaluation index to measure a country's economic strength.China and Japan are important members of the East Asian economic circle. They have close economic ties.To understand and compare the competitiveness of productive service trade between China and Japan, and to decompose its changing trend and influencing factors is of great significance to enhance the competitiveness of China's service trade, accelerate the cooperation of East Asia's service trade, and then accelerate the regional economy of East Asia Development.First of all, this paper analyzes and compares the international competitiveness of producer services trade between China and Japan.Using MSI,TC and RCA indexes, this paper makes a comparative analysis on the export competitiveness of producer services trade between China and Japan. This paper mainly compares the international competitiveness of financial services, transportation services, communication, computer and information services between China and Japan, and makes a supplementary analysis on the competitiveness of China and Japan's,insurance and pension services, construction services, intellectual property royalties and other commercial services. This paper finds that China lags behind Japan in the financial and insurance industries and exclusive royalties, but it has a comparative advantage in the construction and other commercial service industries..However,index analysis can only test whether Japan has a competitive advantage compared with China in computer and other industries, and can not reflect the reasons that affect the competitive advantage. Therefore, according to Michael Porter's diamond model theory,a VAR model is established to analyze whether the four variables of higher education gross enrollment rate, export volume of goods trade, foreign direct investment flow and service trade openness have an impact on the export volume of producer service trade and the degree of impact. Finally, based on the results of empirical analysis, this paper puts forward some policy suggestions for China's producer services trade. This is of great significance to guide China to maintain the competitiveness of the advantageous service industry and improve the competitiveness of the inferior service industry in the bilateral service trade with Japan in the future.
