The Internet Of Things Technology In The Application Of The Logistics Business Process Reengineering

In21st century, the human society is gradually stepping into information age, and the paceof people’s life will be stepped up while their lives are enriched and facilitated by technologicalprogress. As for enterprises, better their services and products are, more advantage they will gainfor competition, which also means they will set higher request to distribution. In order to upgradethe logistic efficiency as the third aspect of profit sources, it is logical and major trend totransform their logistic process. Internet of things, the third time revolution of the worldinformation industry only after computer and Internet, will boast of its unique advantages inlogistics. Therefore, this article suggests applying Internet of things to reengineering of logisticprocessing.This article illustrate briefly at its beginning the concept and knowledge relating to Internetof things technologies and business process reengineering technologies. Then followed by thesimple introduction of Internet of things technologies which are majorly applied by logistics.After the two parts above, the author divides the logistics as manufacturing logistics andcirculating logistics, and from which extracts four main businesses as sourcing logistics,producing logistics, warehousing logistics and transporting logistics. Finally, the article analyzesthe four major businesses process one by one, delivers practical application and scheme ofreengineering those four major business process by applying Internet of things. Some referringsuggestions are also submitted after summarizing the whole article.
