Currently, logistics safety issues got more and more concern of the society. As the important basic infrastructure, improving the logistics center’s operation efficiency had been the research focus while operations safety research got little attention. But we should put attention to operational safety while improving operation efficiency. Otherwise, accident happened during operation would cost enterprise casualties, economic losses and corporate reputation. Therefore safety evaluation for the logistics center possessed great significance.As fault tree analysis of system engineering safety methods got widely use in lots of study fields, however the current application were mainly confined to static safety assessment on the research object. These methods generally had many deficiencies while studying the dynamic and complex problems. But the application of ARENA could make up this shortage well. This thesis would combine both the fault tree analysis and ARENA simulation technology to study the cargo damage accident of logistics center. The main work of this thesis was listed as follows:(1) Analyzed the operational safety elements of the internal logistics center, made the cargo damage accident of logistics center as the study object, and applied the fault tree analysis build the cargo damage accident fault tree model.(2) For the above fault tree model, solved the minimal cut-sets and the structural importance of each basic event to complete the qualitative analysis, and solved probability importance of each basic event based on the top event’s probability functions and occurrence probability of each basic event to complete the quantitative analysis.(3) Based on the above fault tree model and the internal operation process of logistics center, added attributes to human factors and equipment factors in the operating process while the attributes value dynamic change in the simulation run, in the meanwhile founded multiple nodes to determine in each node for the accident happened or not to, complete the ARENA simulation model.Finally, in accordance with the fault tree qualitative and quantitative analysis realize the assessment to the safety level of top event and the importance of basic events. And, evaluate the simulation results did the more closely and deeply analysis for the safety level and the effects of the human factors and equipment factors on the operation safety. Furthermore, this thesis proposed some safety suggestions to improve the operation safety for the logistics center.
