Research On Implementation Process Of ERP Based On Development Platform For Small And Medium-Sized Manufacturing Enterprises

With the rapid development of information technology, the global markets increasingly integrate and competition becomes fierce. Then China’s enterprises are facing increasing pressures and challenges. In order to occupy a favorable position in the fierce market competition, enterprises actively seek methods to quickly upgrade the management level and economic benefits. ERP, as a collection of advanced enterprise management thinking and information technology, can effectively improve enterprise management level and efficiency. And it is getting more and more attention and favor by the majority of enterprises.Small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises, with its flexible and rapid response characteristics, are always the more active part in China’s economic development. But in recent years, with the influx of foreign competitors, backward management of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises has become the important factors which restrict its further development and competition. In order to change this situation as soon as possible, small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises turn to ERP, which can effectively integrate the resources of enterprises and achieve improvement, and actively promote the application of ERP. But at present, the effect of ERP implementation in small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in China is not satisfactory, and the success rate is low. The main reasons are that most ERP systems are unable to meet the personalized needs of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises and the lack of the corresponding ERP implementation methodology. Therefore, how to select the ERP system to meet their own needs and realize the effective implementation of the ERP system are the urgent needs to resolve currently.Based on the above issues, this article takes small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in china as the research object. It firstly analyzes the ERP application situation of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises and summarizes the present situation causes; and then starting from the operational characteristics of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises, it makes clear their specific needs of ERP system and introduces ERP system based on development platform that will meet the personalized needs of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises. In reference to the advantages of domestic and foreign ERP implementation methodology and ERP internship experience, the article creates the implementation process model of ERP system based on development platform for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises. At last, through case studies, it validates the efficiency of the above model and hopes to provide some referential significance for the ERP implementation of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in China.
