Abbott as a global Fortune 500 companies, over a hundred years of history, in the international health care market has a huge market share.With the rapid development in China, the logistics department for the requirements of Abbott and increasingly, how to speed up the order to meet the rate of increase in external customer satisfaction, have become concerned about the content and topic of management.In this thesis, the point is the analysis of logistics management of Abbott Diabetes Care department. Firstly, raises the challenge which the company faces, points out that logistics optimization is necessary. Then the thesis introduce the characteristics of the medical device industry, using detail description of the important logistics theory such as logistics resources integration, ABC classification inventory management, vendor managed inventory and logistics information system. Finally, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics management and reducing business costs by doing the logistics optimization.
