Industrial Agglomeration, The Massive Economic And Agglomeration Index Is Calculated

According to the classification of the geographic concentration levels and the nature of drive forces, two perspectives from small geographic level and spontaneous force is selected in this paper on the study of industry agglomeration.Combined with Marshall’s Industrial Zone theory and the examples of Italy and Zhejiang province, this paper investigates three cross-county block economies of Ningbo and presents the developing thread, current situation, agglomeration degree and existing problems. The Gini coefficient on industries and the Hoover coefficient on regions are calculated for the test of industry agglomeration degree.Based on empirical data supports, it comes to a strong conclusion of the existing aggregating effects from block economies and differs from one another.The Gini coefficient value reflects different aggregating level and distribution status of industries and the Hoover coefficient value reflects the restructure trend from localization economy to urbanization economy. With a time node marked as economic crisis, the similarity of the both coefficients varying values may imply the developing trend of different industries on these regions.
