The era of knowledge economy,enterprise’s development is inseparable from theknowledge innovation, and high-tech enterprise development is taking knowledge innovationas the foundation. The realization of knowledge innovation requires a series of processes suchas the knowledge acquisition, sharing, using and so on. In this process, the core staff socialcapital plays a very important role.This paper uses the theoretical study and empirical research methods, based on theknowledge innovation theory and social capital theory, systematically analyze the sources,characteristics and dimensions of the core staff social capital in high-tech enterprises, andthen build a conceptual model of the core staff social capital affect the knowledge innovationprocess. On the basis of the literature review, combined with the design of the questionnaire,the article conducts a survey of 600 core staff of 40 high-tech enterprises in Shan xi Province,and then analyzes and verifies 225 valid questionnaires data using SPSS and Amos statisticalanalysis software.This paper first introduces the knowledge innovation process and the theory of strong &weak ties and structural holes; Secondly, this paper defines the core staff of the high-techenterprises, and puts forward the concept of the core staff social capita of the high-techenterprises, and then analyzes its origin, characteristics and dimensions divided. In the processof dimension divided, first we divided it into three dimensions: structure, relationships andcognitive; and then to be broken down to the tree dimensions, eventually formed sevensub-dimensions: the quantity of network node, the quality of network node, connectionstrength, emotional trust, benefit trust, common language and common goals; Thirdly, depthstudies the influence mechanism of the seven sub-dimensions to knowledge innovation process, and then put forward the hypothesis and the influence model; Fourthly, adopts thequestionnaire to collect data, using SPSS and Amos software to verify the model, and putsforward management suggestions according to the conclusion. The study found that the sevendimensions of the core staff social capital on knowledge innovation process will producedifferent effects. Among them, the number of network nodes and benefit trust have moreeffect on knowledge acquisition, but the effect on knowledge sharing and knowledge usinghave not been confirmed; connection strength, common language and common goals haveobvious effect on knowledge sharing and using, but the effect on knowledge acquisition havenot been confirmed; the quality of the network nodes and emotional trust have played apositive impact on knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing and knowledge using.
