Sino-american Textile Trade Friction Cause Analysis

From Reform and opening up to now, our country has been the biggest producerand exporter in the world. As our traditional advantage industry, Textile garmentindustry is undertaking the International transfer of the global textile clothing industry.With canceling quotas, cutting tariffs and pushing the liberalization of trade, China’stextile exports is increasing rapidly, and has dominated the bigger internationalmarket share. However, higher market share has brought the impact on the textileeconomy of developed and the developing countries make the U.S. stepped up theresistance to our textile exports, so that China’s textile has been the one of industrywhich is under the strongest influence .The new trade protection policy includingtechnical trade barriers, blue trade barriers and rules of origin announced sofrequently that the single enterprise of china can’t know the foreign trade measures’system comprehensively, that not only paid the high tuition but also can’t respond tothese barriers timely. Therefore under background of the new trade protectionismrising, to explore the reason of textile trade barriers between the china and U.S. has itsown strong practical significance.The paper intend to analysis the standards and regulations deeply from theperspective of the American’s new trade protectionism, clear the development course ,the trend of textile trade and the cause of the major new trade barriers our facing now.As the beacon of the rapid development of our textile exporters, exploring a set ofpractical solutions for related enterprise is useful for promoting the quality andtechnology level of our export products to avoid all the barriers of implementationmore effectively to reduce the textile trade dispute.There are five parts in this paper. The first part is preface, and the second part isintroducing the relevant theories on trade protectionism from the view of the newtrade protectionism, and discussing the history course and current situation of thetextile trade friction at present, also referring to the specific situation of the new tradebarriers. The third part is interpreting the reason of the emergence of textile frictionbetween China and the U.S. from the perspective of the international background, theU.S. position and the china position. The fourth part according to the relevantbackground is doing the empirical analysis on influence factors of textile trade frictionbetween china and the U.S.The fifth part is exploring the influence on our countrytextile trade from new trade protection measures, and giving the correspondingcountermeasures based on the results from previous content.This paper is using the common statistical tools to establish measuringeconomic model based on the research achievements in related fields, and making useof the material analysis on statistical data to give the corresponding strategies aboutfacing the specific effect of the new trade protection measures, and to provide thetheory basis and the reference suggestions for relevant departments’formulatingpolicies and the related enterprise getting rid of export dilemma.
