The Regional Differences Of The Internet Development In China

With the development of economy and society, the Internet has become the new power of the economic development. And the effect of Internet to national economy and other industry has increased increasingly. With the constant development of the Internet, the domestic and foreign scholars began to research the Internet boom, many scholars from both theoretical and empirical aspects of the Internet to research it, a lot of work has been done and achieved certain results. Internet development in balance is always a hot issue of academic research, the scholars has done a lot of work from the theory of Internet development in China regional differences, but there are still shortcomings exists in empirical research. In this paper, on the basis of existing research results, I used the social science research methods and related statistical data to finish a standard empirical study about the development of the Internet in China regional differences. Today with the rapid development of the Internet, this topic has some certain theory significance and the practical value.The main contents of this paper are:the domestic and foreign theoretical summary about the development regional differences of Internet in China, the present situation of the development regional differences of Internet in China, the spatial correlation analysis about the development regional differences of Internet in China, the measure about the development of Internet in China regional difference. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:①on the whole, the development regional differences of Internet in China reduced gradually;②the spatial correlation effect of the Internet development in China is very remarkable, the spatial correlation effect between provinces and cities in China has reduced their regional difference of Internet development;③the development regional differences of Internet in China can be decomposed into and area differences, along with the reduction of Internet development regional differences both of those two differences are shrinking. Based on the research results, this paper also gives some related policy suggestion about how to promote China’s Internet development level and narrow the Internet development regional differences.
