In the context of globalization, trade in tourism services is an important issue for many experts and scholars. China and Japan as Asia’s largest developing and developed countries respectively, the development problems and solutions of their trade in services can not be directly got from the existing data yet. This thesis uses information retrieval, data collection, SWOT analysis, quantitative calculation to do research on this issue, hoping to provide useful information for the development of Sino-Japanese trade in tourism services.This thesis provides the domestic and international literature review, and then it uses SWOT analysis to get the advantages and disadvantages in tourism services in China (in both supply-side and demand-side) as well as the opportunities and challenges of the Chinese trade in tourism services development.There are a lot of favorable conditions in Sino-Japanese trade in tourism services, such as the improvement of Sino-Japanese economic development as well as their international status, the Sino-Japanese currency appreciated against the dollar and so on. Because of their respective favorable conditions for the development of tourist trade, their tourism foreign exchange earnings and number of tourist arrivals are increasing year by year.Based on the context of the current situation of Sino-Japanese tourism development, this thesis finds out the problems in the Sino-Japanese trade tourism services, the reasons for these problems and gives suggestions to solve them. Through trend analysis, it is found that although the Sino-Japanese trade in tourism services is in good shape, there is a big problem in the tourism cooperation between these two countries. Generally speaking, it is caused by seven reasons, such as the historical and political factors and economic level differences.For these seven reasons, this thesis puts forward seven measures for the development of Sino-Japanese trade in tourism services, such as seizing the Sino-Japanese relations’ picking up opportunity to strengthen the Sino-Japanese tourism and trade cooperation, accelerating the development of China’s national economy to shrink the Sino-Japanese economic development gap.Finally, it summarizes and outlines the two shortcomings of this thesis.
