Industry income inequality is one kind of income inequality, which has an importantimpact on industry coordinated development, economic healthy development and socialstability. In recent years, the industry income inequality reveals a trend of further expansion,within industry inequality and between industry inequality all have a widening incomeinequality. Widening income has a bad effect on harmonious development of the industry andeconomic healthy development. So we should pay much attention to the industry incomeinequality problem, try to find the way narrowing the industry income inequality.This paper analyzes the changing trend of industry income inequality using a lot ofstatistical yearbook data. Based on the relative deprivation theory of Gini coefficient subgroupdecomposition method, this paper calculates the industry income inequality, analyzes theconditons of within and between industry income inequality, the deprivation between industry,and the contribution to overall income inequality. The paper chooses the main factorsinfluencing the industry income inequality from the index of CGSS 2006, a regressionanalysis is calculated. At last, it summarizes the total paper, some conclusions are drawed upand suggestions to narrow the industry income inequality are proposed.This study is divided into the following sections:The first chapter is the introduction of research literature summaries at home and abroad,and the difinition of meanings, the choice of industry income decomposition. Then the firstchapter introduces the content, method of the research and the features and innovation.The second chapter analyzes the changing trend of industry income inequality, using a lotof statistical yearbook data, and shows the trend from two parts: time and the development ofindustry.The third chapter is using gini coefficient subgroup decomposition method based onrelative deprivation to analyze the industry income inequality in our country. The within andbetween industry income inequality and the contribution to overall industry income inequalitycan be gained.The fourth chapter is a regression analysis, using Eviews softare to find the main factorswhich can explain the industry income inequality.The fifth chapter is the conclusions and suggestions. According to the conclusions of thispaper, some policy advice to narrow industry income inequality can be proposed.
