The photographic tourism emerged as a kind of specialized tourism, with the sustained growth of the amount of the photography amateurs and the need of the tourist. The most important motivation of the photography tourist, with higher level taste towards the landscape environment, is photography. Therefore the landscape preference of the photographic tourist is of great significance to resource appraisal and tourism planning. This paper focus on the tourist’s photographic behavior and investigate the landscape preference and the behavior of the photographic tourist by means of picture evaluation, Rank Order Method(One of the LCJ) questionnaire survey and interview, and then got the reference of tourism planning and management. The main conclusions of the study are as follows. First, the photographic tourist has evident discrepancy on their population, mental characteristics and photographic behavior compared with the other groups. Secondly, the landscape preference of the tourist is related to the amount of water, rate and type of plant cover, wildness and ephemera. There isn’t any linear relationship between the landscape preference of the photographic tourist and the bellowing indicators, and however, there are linear relationships between the mass sightseeing tourist (and the vacation tourist) and the amount of water, as well as the rate of plant cover. Thirdly, the different types of photography tourists have evidence discrepancy in their photographic objects and the consuming time, as well as the general characteristics in the selection of occasions and seasons. In the end, this paper discussed some problems in the development of the photography tourism, and advances the corresponding solutions.
