The development trend of the supply chain is lean and agile at present. The two trends reduce the level of inventory, shorten the production and delivery cycle, improve the operational efficiency of supply chain. And they also make the enterprise closer and more interdependent. In the21st century, the factors of supply chain’s brittleness are no longer confined to the internal factors, such as logistics, information flow and cash flow, but also include the external factor, for instance, frequent natural disasters. The text mainly analyses the external factor, typhoon, influences the supply chain’s brittleness. It will make the enterprises realize that they should not only pursue the operational efficiency and low cost of supply chain, but also enhance the understanding of supply chain’s brittleness and prevent the potential risks from typhoon.Based on the achievement of some scholars, the text applies the self-organized criticality theory, extreme value theory and supply chain brittle theory to construct the supply chain brittle model under the influence of typhoon and obtains the measurement of supply chain’s brittleness and brittle correlation coefficient. In order to weaken the correlation among the enterprises and prevent the occurrence of supply chain’s brittleness, it proposes the brittle prevention measures, including manufacturer’s inventory model and the model of increasing the number of suppliers, through boosting the order point, enhancing the amount of safety stock and increasing suppliers’numbers to avoid supply chain’s brittleness. When the supply chain’s brittleness inevitably takes place, it also researches the supply chain recovery measures by building manufacturer seeking the alternative supplier model to recover the operation of supply chain rapidly based on the supply chain cost lowest. In addition, an example is given for each model to help us analyse and understand the theory deeply.
