In the age of the knowledge economy, patent strategy, which is important assets to enterprise, has gradually become not only the basic elements and important guarantee of development and operation of knowledge economy, but the important legal system to promote and protect the enterprise as well.Gansu Province, where owned slow economic development and low technological level relatively, compared to developed provinces, still had a large gap on patent situation. Putting the patent situation of Gansu province pharmaceutical industry pillar enterprises as our perspective, the article research the patent situation in the sight of patent strategy through selecting six representative enterprises and digging the existence of materials industry’s patent work, then analysis the standing out problems and give advice and suggestions of materials industry’s patent work.This article includes four parts:The first part:brief situation of pharmaceutical enterprises are analysised from the patent in Gansu Province.Then choose and elaborate six enterprises as study object from enterprises Investigated.The second part:analysis the overall of the current situation of patent in Gansu Province, further analysis conducted in the pharmaceutical enterprise patent situation, then choose and elaborate six enterprises as study object from enterprises investigated.The third part:analyze the problems existed in the pharmaceutical enterprises in Gansu province, Elaborate from the patent consciousness, independent innovation ability, patent management, patent system and other aspects.The forth part:summarized Conclusion Based on the analysis of the former three parts are, give the countermeasures and suggestions which are aimed at the existing problems of pharmaceutical enterprises in Gansu Province.
