Through visits and interviews towns of Yongdeng county in Lanzhou to understand the town markets development situation and trends of rural areas. In theory analysis the start, development and differentiation in a full range from the perspective of the internal and external influencing factors. To create a dynamic model to predict the development trend with the variables of influencing factors in the various stages.Combined with inspected data and theoretical analysis indicates that the problems in the rural town market development model and path choice. The town-market in the rural areas has gone through a long process of development, and because of the improvement of agricultural productivity, the surplus agricultural commodities can be exchanged, which is the essential condition for the formation of the rural market. For many other factors, the rural market, as a major transaction of the agricultural products shapes a special district formation in the region. The coming of the industrial age and the development of commercial have contributed to the industrial to the rural areas, and with the further improving of the agricultural productivity level, the incomes of agricultural labor force have be raised, which incentives the farmers’consumer demand for industrial products. The homology of agricultural and industrial products trading location makes the original agricultural market into a commercial center and a collecting and distributing center of agricultural and industrial products in the region. The town-market in the rural areas has been development sustainably under the double action, thus the scale increases gradually, shaping the core role in the regional economic development. Change of the constraints of farmer’s consumption structure and consumption levels takes a profound change to the developing trends of rural town-market. With the change of per capita income, consumer group structure and relative cost factors, most of the rural spending power is transferred.Under double active of transfer and differentiation, market in region’s commercial center role has been weakened, the size has been shrunk. From the perspective of market size, the shrink of town-market will continue to be strengthened, and ultimately is instead by the differentiation of village trading or much more advanced markets, and then drop out the history stage. However, the construction of town-markets is still going on, lots of them are expanding or the new construction has been completed or in progress, contrary to the distribution of spending power, which is bound to a waste of social resources and is not conductive to the development of the rural economy.
