With the development of internet, information technology makes the gap between people and enterprises more close, breaking the time and geographical limitations. Internet has been applied to all walks of life of the society rapidly. As a business organization, to develop e-commerce business can make the supply and demand information more timely and abundant. By facing the customer base, they can reduce the operating cost, enhance economic efficiency, and make corporate wealth maximization ultimately. With these advantages, the e-commerce has been rapid development, and has an important impact on the world economy in the past five years.In2010, the major electricity supplier to get nearly$2billion investment; DANG and MCOX, the success of the first capacity to in the U.S. stock market as e-commerce enterprises, and proved that e-commerce business is recognized. However, in2011, DANG and MCOX had been beat badly, and many e-commerce business magnates had been lost heavily. The instability of e-commerce still belongs in the process of growing. Through the study of e-commerce, can make the companies to succeed in the competition, to enable enterprises to mature toward standardization, is crucial. This paper takes Jingdong Mall and DANG as a case, through in-depth analysis the course of development, operating status and strategic layout of the two companies, and compares them to the more mature company Alibaba. Taking the Summary of the numerous problems of China’s e-commerce industry faced in general. Then propose appropriate countermeasures to address these issues. The paper contains five chapters:The first chapter introduces the background, significance and research purposes, and then through a well-known research results to understand the status of domestic and international e-commerce businesses, and finally introduces the research method.The second chapter describes the definition and components of e-commerce, e-commerce development goals and the advantages of e-commerce.The third chapter based on the industry life cycle theory, through the study of the development status of the various types of e-commerce businesses induction at different stages of its life cycle, the key comparison buys sites, Jingdong Mall, DAND with Alibaba.The chapter IV summarizes the current problems of the majority of our e-commerce businesses:low profit margins, network transactions there is hidden danger, the credit system is not perfect, logistics and after-sales service is imperfect and so on. And it put forward the corresponding countermeasures:in improving the quality of goods and the level of service, increase profitability, enhance the level of e-commerce platform security technology, to establish sound industry credit system and logistics system and so on.The chapter V based on the development of e-commerce businesses, forecast and outlook the China’s e-commerce business development as following:the trend of e-commerce is mobile, mobile device can be used at anytime, anywhere to e-commerce activities. It takes B2C as a made of e-commerce businesses. In the future, it will take advantage of, and services in e-commerce businesses, enterprises will also have developed rapidly.
