With the globalization of China’s economy in21stCentury, logistics industry hasembraced unprecedented development opportunities, however, the traditionalinternational freight forwarding industry also encounters many serious challenges. Itsdevelopment space has been compressed by the fierce competition with airlines andshipping companies, so how to survival and develop in the complicated and changeableinternational freight environment, has become an important question that the freightforwarding industry should analysis and explore. The third party, as an industry that hashigh requirement for informatization, systematization and standardization, with itsrevenue increasing, it has become a development direction of international freightforwarding industry by providing the customers with more services with its wide networkand high quality staff.This thesis, from the theory of company’s strategic management and logisticsmanagement, firstly introduces the current research status to the third party logisticstheory home and abroad, the current development situation of third party logistics, andprospect analysis of the industry; Secondly, make an analysis on WR company’s basicsituation, organization structure and operation mode, and find out its exist problems in thepractical operation; and then make an analysis on external feasibility and necessity ofWR’s transition, and proposes the internal possibility for the transition through theanalysis to WR’s original business condition. Analysis WR’s current advantage anddisadvantage of internal and external resources on the basis of the SWOT analysis.Proposed that WR company transition to the third party logistics should from theorganizational structure and business flow recombines aspects. Then emphasis the riskthat the WR might meet when it becomes a third party logistic. It also strengths theimportance of contract management, accounts receivable management and completeperformance evaluation system, and proposes the corresponding countermeasures in theprocess of customer service, process management, product development and so on, andprovides useful reference for WR’s sustainability development.
