HSBC Limited Company was set up in Xi’an22nd Dec.2006, and it represents that HSBC’s financial service network in mainland of China has been carried forward to western China. The building of HSBC Xi’an Branch supports the strategy of’West Development’and economic growth of Xi’an, and also satisfies local customers’increasing demand for international bank service. In2nd Apr.2007, HSBC Xi’an Limited Company transformed to the foreign corporative bank which is HSBC (China) Company Limited, and HSBC Xi’an Branch changed to HSBC Bank (China) Company Limited Xi’an Branch.The paper is separated into seven chapters. The first chapter raises the background, purpose, significance and research thinking and method; The second chapter reviews the theory of strategy management and research method; The third chapter introduces development strategy of HSBC Xi’an Branch; The forth chapter analyzes HSBC Xi’an Branch’s internal and external environments through SWOT, pointing out its advantage&disadvantage and opportunity&threat in the market. The fifth chapter provides development strategy based on SWOT and offers specific implement. The sixth chapter analyzes the measures of development strategy. The seventh chapter concludes the paper.The contribution of this paper is mainly reflected in three aspects:first, it is analyses development strategy problem of HBCN Xi’an Branch. Second, it is describes the establishment of developing target and the specific implement. Third, it is proposed safeguards which can be focus on business development on next3years.
