Up to now, it has been nearly a hundred years since the proposal of the concept ofcorporate social responsibility and the continuous development of the theory. However, thecorporate scandals still happen quite often, and the reasons for this problem are closely relatedto the attitude of corporate manager toward corporate social responsibility, namely, thecorporate social responsibility orientation.Based on the cultural background and business environment in China, this dissertationanalyzes influential effect of corporate managers’ corporate social responsibility orientationon corporate social performance and corporate culture. The concrete research contents are asfollows. Firstly, we put forward and analyze the basic components of corporate socialresponsibility orientation through the reference of domestic and overseas researchachievements and construct the functional mechanism model among corporate socialresponsibility orientation, corporate culture and corporate social performanc. Then we choosemiddle and top managers as the research objects and select458valid questionnaires inGuangdong, Guangxi, Anhui, and other provinces around the country, applying the analysistools such as SPSS and Amos to carry out model fitting and hypothesis test. Furthermore, weevaluate the functional mechanism and influential effect among corporate social responsibilityorientation, corporate culture and corporate social performance on the basis of the totalsamples and the sub samples of different corporate industry property. In addition, we alsoprobe into the difference of corporate social responsibility orientation of the managers underdifferent individual characteristics.The main conclusions of the dissertation are as follows.(1) The model of the researchhas certain universality. In the total samples and the two sub samples of the manufacturingenterprises and the non-manufacturing enterprises, the fitting degree of the model is high,which indicates that managers’ corporate social responsibility orientation has an importantimpact on corporate culture and corporate social performance.(2)The corporate socialresponsibility orientation of the manager can directly affect corporate culture and then furtherinfluence corporate social performance. Among these relations, corporate culture plays anintermediary effect.(3) Corporate culture can directly affect corporate social performance,and different corporate culture has different influence.(4)As to different individualcharacteristics, the corporate social responsibility orientation of the manager appearsobviously different under dissimilar gender, education and ethics background; however, itbears no obvious discrepancy under different age and subject background. The innovation of this research lies in the following parts:(1) It analyzes the drivingfactor of corporate social performance from the aspect of personal value.(2)It constructs aninfluencing model among corporate social responsibility orientation, corporate culture andcorporate social performance and confirms the intermediary effect of corporate culture.
