The author also investigated and analyzed the classic cases of the previous Garden Exposition, andsummed up a strategy that ecological civilization construction guides city development and a modepreplanning the exhibition venues for subsequent use for the Guangzhou Office, Meanwhile, the authorpointed out that the subsequent use of Convention and exhibition space should be combined with thetarget of urban development, the city resources should be integrated and optimized, and the cityenvironment should be comprehensively treated, in an attempt to achieve win-win and city development.Finally, the author made a full analysis on the location selection, object, purpose, significance, necessity,strategy, pattern and scale, site construction and operation process, investment and benefit, the impact onthe environment, and the possibility of hosting Garden Exposition in Guangzhou. This study aims to startthe urban development and construction on the both sides along Guangzhou Huadi River, provide newideas and intellectual support for old city protection and renewal in Guangzhou, and cause more thinkingabout old city reconstruction mode.
