| With the further increase in population and production,eco-industry has developed obviously as the traditional industriesexposed many shortcomings. The eco-industry is organized based onthe carrying capacity of eco-system and consistent with the ecologicaland economic principles. It has complete life cycles, efficientmetabolic processes and harmonious ecological functions. Furthermore,it is a complex, network type and evolutionary-based industry. The lifecycle is an important aspect to separate eco-industries and traditionalindustries. That is, through the whole process of the product from cradleto the grave and the regeneration, we can achieve a sustainablerecycling of resources.Tangshan City has involved in resource depletion andenvironmental pollution problems in the process of extensive economicgrowth. In order to achieve the resource recycling, we have totransform the mode of economic growth and develop eco-industry assoon as possible. We can also ease the pressure on resources andenergy and protect the ecological environment.In this paper, a lot of literature was studied to elaborate theconcept, meaning, and the basic characteristics of eco-industry.Furthermore, the author has analyzed the natural environment,socio-economic profiles, as well as the ecological state of theenvironment of Tangshan City. They all based on Industrial ecology,recycling economy and sustainable development theories. Combinedwith the actual situation of Tangshan City and the domestic and international research, the author has analyzed its ecologicalcharacteristics and pointed out the issues of Tangshan City: Seriousenergy problems, unreasonable resource consumption, environmentalpollution and low resource dependence on the tertiary industry is yet tobe developed. According to the principles of the development ofeco-industry, a rational distribution for eco-industries of Tangshan Cityhas been established, including the overall layout. And quantitativemethods were used to compare the relationship between energyconsumption and carbon emissions. Then the author also proposedstrategies to solve those problems, such as diversification of resources,economic growth with low-carbon, as well as the development ofeco-industrial integration. At last, the industrial emission reductionprojects, energy-saving industrial projects and eco-tourism industrieswere analyzed in details for the better development of industries inTangshan City. The author also selected number of indicators on projectbenefits. In this way, an efficient ecological economic zone can bebuilt in the beautiful environment with a prosperous economy. |
