As retailers have the advantage of directly access to market information, so that the original manufacturer-dominated supply chain gradually turned to the retailer-dominated supply chain. But there are a lot of risks in the actual operation of the retailer-dominated supply chain. Retailer-dominated supply chain risk there will not only damage the interests of member companies, but also endanger the stability and development of entire supply chain. Therefore, how to prevent the occurrence of supply chain risk in the retailer-dominated supply chain process of operation is the key to protect the business interests of retailer-dominated supply chain and to improve the competitiveness of the whole supply chain. Thus, the retailer-led supply chain risk research has important theoretical and practical significance.As an advanced supply chain inventory management, VMI model can effectively improve the supply chain nodes in the sharing of information between enterprises, reduce the "bullwhip effect" and supply chain inventory. So as to reduce supply chain risk and improve supply chain compet itiv eness.According to analysis of retailer-dominated supply chain structure and the characteristics and features of VMI model to determine the internal and external factors which affect the risk of retailer-dominated supply chain in VMI model. And it constructed retailer supply chain risk assessment system in VMI mode based on these factors. The evaluation index system-level indicators of the VMI model of retailer-dominated supply chain risk qualitative and quantitative research from the7level indicators and20secondary indicators.On the basis of the BP neural network theory, it devises and trains BP neural network in the DPS data processing system. Finally, it chooses three retailers-dominated supply chain analysis example and has these three supply chain risk assessment according to the established indicators to determine their risk status, which provide a reference for the retailer-dominated supply chain risk prevention.
