As a brand new form of economy, knowledge economy is attracting widespread attention of the whole world. This quiet revolution will surely have a significant impact both on our present lifestyles and thinking modes. It is another progress in the development of human society. Equality, as a symbol of society progress, has huge influence on today’s world. Marx’s idea of equality is a scientific elaboration on people’s pursuit of equality. The equality he talked about is labor equality. Labor is the basic condition of human life. Not a nation or community can survive without labor, not to mention progress. So, in a sense, labor created the human being himself. Having equal labor rights is the basic and primary condition for people leading to the republic and ultimate freedom. Marx’s labor theory of value, which makes people’s equality as basis and premise and also the final realization of people’s quality as objective, requires not only formal equality but essential equality and requires not only equality of labor obligation but equality of labor rights. However, in the age of knowledge economy, the appearance of monopoly in large numbers and the quick expansion of capital make many phenomena which should have been equal appear deviation falling so far down from the objective of equality. That has become a problem demanding us to think about and resolve instantly. In this paper, labor equality is studied in the age of knowledge economy. That is because knowledge economy has swept across the world. It has become the tread and characteristic with highest level of cognition in the basic judgment of world developing trend in the21st century as "economic globalization" and "world multiplarzation". The characteristic of labor equality in such a economic form is entirely different from in agricultural economy and industrial economy. We will try to hold these characteristics to find solution to the labor equality problem.
