Since modern times, equality has changed from a kind of moral appeal to a goal in the political and economic field. It also has become one of the hot spots in western political philosophy. For China, equality is not only the proper meaning of a harmonious society but also one of the basic appeals of Chinese.Currently,we are in the face of much inequality problem of resources allocation in the field of society and economy which are mainly caused by drawbacks of institution. The logical starting point of the equality of resources is that "We should show equal respect and concern to everyone".Dworkin holds the view that "ambition-sensitive" and"endowment-insensitive" should be our goals in the allocation of resources. It means that the government should try to eliminate the inequality of endowment between people and make a fair environment for development. And we should be responsible for our choices, the unequal result of which is reasonable.Despite the dirrerent social background and ideological context,we can also combine the theory of equality of resources with the current situation of China and find some enlightment for us.The "endowment-insensitive" highlights the collective responsibility of government and we should especially pay more attention to construct justical institutions of distribution. And the "ambition-sensitive" highlights the personal responsibility. We should try our best to make our choices and be responsible to them.
