Under the background of economic globalization and financial crisis, the indefinitive factors affecting the development of electric industry and corporations are emerging, so the future trend is hard to predict. Meanwhile, policies on industrial field related with national economy are continuously adjusting, which makes the development of electric transmission and transformation confront positive opportunities and challenges simultaneously.TZ Electric Company, as the national basic manufacturer of transmission and transformation equipments developing from HV switchgear, needs to conduct deep study systematically on development strategy to make proper strategic policy under inside and outside environment to avoid risk and make progress continuously.This paper mainly focuses on the following three points in compliance with inside and outside environment analysis of corporation management, corporation development strategic theory, strategic theory of corporation competition and the development characteristics of electric transmission and transformation industry ect.1. Analysis on TZ’s outside development conditions. This part mainly analyzes the electric transmission and transformation line development to find out principle factors affecting the corporation interest, summarize development opportunities and risks and provides outside information basis for TZ’s strategic policy make.2. Self analysis of TZ. This part emphasizes TZ’s history, scope of product, competition factors ect in this way it get conclusion of the advantages and disadvantages for corporation development to supply internal basis for development strategy make.3. TZ’s strategy positioning and strategy selection. The section states corporation’s development conception, target orientation and competitive strategy, and provides some suggestions for strategy implementation based on integrate analysis (SWOT) on Company’s opportunities, risks, advantages&disadvantages.This paper concludes based on deep study that TZ Company should explore new industry pattern "centering on one filed and combining with other fields" based on transmission and transformation equipment manufacture, insist on diversification development strategy with the basis of vertical integration and horizontal diversification development and at the same time, implement low-cost and technological innovation strategy, emphasizing electric and non-electric fields to cultivate the comprehensive competitive ability so as to make TZ Company a first-class private company in China.This study is as the reference not only for TZ’s development, but also for other enterprises in the same field.
