Organization image is the overall impressions and opinions formed among societal public to organizations.Meantime, along with the progress of new public management, Government starts a transition of functions, which both improved its organizational service, and turn the overall impression and evaluation of the organization from the mass into more significant variables. Therefore, many scholars began to examine the organizational image constructional activities of government and other non-profit organizations, and they strive to provide useful recommendations for better communication strategies and research directions.National Natural Science Foundation Committee (NSFC) is directly under the state council which competent Chinese natural science Foundation.It is a significant backbone to support basic research, cultivate innovative talents and build a freedom researching atmosphere. NSFC plays an important role in national innovation system, and their communication activities are categorized to a typical organizational communication which internally improve organization cohesion and externally raise organizational reputation.By analyzing and inspecting on the nature and specialty of NSFC based on knowledge from political science, communications and public relationship, this essay discuss the necessity and importance of constructing organization image for NSFC. Among them, NSFC is able to enhance their workers’ sense of belonging, cohesion and honor, furthermore, the organization achieves high internal efficiency by building up better organization culture and atmosphere.This is not only a response to civil rights, but also provide a good external environment for developing. NSFC should create an open, transparent image of the service organization for basic research in China and play a leading role in the communication field.Through the investigation of NSFC organization image construction and the communication activity tools,transmission mode and the communication environmentral, we analysis the motives, objectives and tasks of the NSFC organization image construction. Because of the rapid development of Internet technology,the trend of media mutual confluence and penetration aggravate and communication environment appears innovation and change. The organization image construction and other communication activity of NSFC become more positive initiative. Meanwhile, based on the consideration of NSFC organization image in the face of all stakeholders, the objectives and tasks of NSFC organization image building should be more refined and linkage.Through the analysis on dissemination rule and propagation environment, we give advice on communication which including the use of communication tools based on the work of organizational image building of NSFC.In the new communication environment, NSFC need to establish the concepts of communication and interaction, and make the content of external communication and image clarity through the CIS system of NSFC. At the same time,NSFC should improve the ability of using new media such as Internet and MicroBlog.The work of organizational image building of NSFC have a major impact to organization of work inside and outside. NSFC should attaches great importance and effective implement in order to provide a favorable internal and external environment.
