The Path Study To Promote Consumption From Live Model To Development Model

Since the reform and opening up, the consumption structure of Chinese residents has a lot of changes. The survival consumption, such as, food, clothes and so on, decreased obviously in the proportion of total expenditure. On the other hand, the development consumption, for transportation communication and education and so on, rised considerably in the proportion of total expenditure. There is significant optimization and upgrading to consumption structure. Our country has gradually changed from survival consumption to development consumption.In May,2011, the formal planning of “Twelfth Five-Year” in our country has introduced. The plan proposes the consumption structure of residents changed from survival consumption to development consumption. This paper based on the consumer demand increased rule and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and other theories. At the same time, it use large amounts of data and ELES model to analyze three stages which from survival consumption to development consumption:the poverty and survival consumption stage,the subsistent and survival consumption stage, and the stage change from survival consumption to development consumption. Then compared with America’process and analysis that there is a long time between China and America. Finally, it put forward that we should narrow the gap between residents, improve the consumption environment and the industrial structure, adjust the consumption policies and the concept of consumption to change from survival consumption to development consumption.
