With the rapid economic development of Wuhan megalopolis, various contradictions of land use become apparent gradually. To solve the contradiction effectively between the infinite land area and finite land demand, structure and layout of land use should be adjusted reasonably. With the scientific and rational land use scheme and optimization of land use mechanism implemented, maximize comprehensive benefits is obtained.This paper is based on the definition of relevant concepts and theoretical analysis. In the paper, the land demand forecast is given, and the multi-objective land use structure optimization model which is based on land demand forecast is built. Decision support information system of land use structure optimization based on this model is designed afterwards. The system contains two functions; one is status quo information management, the other is decision support module which contains demand forecasting model and land use structure optimization model. With the implementation and application of the system, a series of related results is concluded. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:1. As a "Bi-type" society pilot area, Wuhan megalopolis has an important strategic position. Researches on a variety of themes among the land use of Wuhan megalopolis play an important decision support role in land-use planning of the megalopolis. Network technologies such as GIS technology, database technology and network technology are used to support the decision system of different themes of land use design and development, which is a meaningful and worthy of promotion of the work. In this paper, the design and implementation of Wuhan megalopolis land structural optimization decision support system reflect the feasibility, practicality and convenience of the system and this supports the structure optimization research of Wuhan megalopolis.2. By calculating all kinds of land demand forecast amount with2020as a target year, basis and foundation for land use structure optimization study of Wuhan megalopolis and land use demand are provided.3. Science, viable, practical model are built and could be implanted into the system. Five optimized program are made upon the result that is obtained by using multi-objective programming model to calculate. Ecological and social benefits are internalized to the constraints, program that has the largest economic benefits is chosen to be the structure optimization program finally, and addition and changes of various types of land use in the program are analyzed.
