Regional economic cooperation is one of the trends of the world economic. Despite the East Asia regional economic integration set up late, but vibrant. The cooperation situation of "10+3","10+6" and China-ASEAN Free Trade Area with the core of ASEAN has initially taken shape.Fair, rationality and efficiency are the common goals pursued by all cooperation mechanism. The Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement (TPP) is valued by the United States because it is characterized by extensive coverage, high degree of liberalization and institutionalization.TPP has developed at an unprecedented speed since the United States joined in. TPP attracts attention of political circles, academia, and business circles in a short time. Academia and the media focus on the TPP itself at present, such as its contents, features, obstacles and prospects. However, they ignore that TPP may be impact and challenge regional economic cooperation in East Asia. This paper will try to comprehensively discuss that. The paper will firstly study the origin and development process of TPP, and draw a conclusion that TPP is following a dominant and a hidden track. The dominant track is the economic thinking of development. The hidden track is the political thinking of development. Under the leading of the United States, TPP appears a series of implicit strategies such as restricting China, making region balance, competition for regional dominance and so on. TPP generates within the framework of APEC with the goal of Free Trade Area of the Asia-pacific (FTAAP), and poses a train of challenges to East Asia regional cooperation and China in terms of politics, economy, security and regional identity. The paper makes a comprehensive analysis on advantages and disadvantages of the development trend of the TPP in order to resolve problems bring by TPP. Make the conclusion that TPP looks more like an ideal level of free trade agreement; the road to achieve this ideal is rough. China should be careful to respond to TPP, neither following nor negating. On the basis of this judge, China should promote regional economic cooperation steadily by the principle of "Step by Step", with the stance of comprehensive trade, with the basis of "10+3","10+6" and China-ASEAN Free Trade Area mechanisms and so on. Meanwhile, the country needs to accelerate the pace of domestic reforms, commit to transform economic development model and economic structure, narrow the gap between rich and poor, and construct a harmonious society. Bigger and stronger is the best response to challenges of TPP.
