As a measure of equality of opportunity, intergenerational incomemobility has now been paid attention in the academic field. Areasonable intergenerational mobility is the basis of the harmoniousdevelopment of society and people forge ahead. The family is the mostbasic elements of society, a deep analysis of household behavior helpsto fully understand the intergenerational income mobility of societystatus in China. In the process of creating fair competition in the socialenvironment, human capital that is an important factor affectedincome flows could play a role in narrowing the income gap.This paper is the study of the family intergenerational incomemobility in the perspective of the human capital, by way of literaturereview; this paper summarizes and analyzes the conclusion of theprevious studies. On this basis, the second chapter analyzes thetheoretical mechanism of intergenerational income mobility andhuman capital. It refers to two aspects. On the one hand, it analyzesthe income affects the human capital. On the other hand, it introducesthe factors affect human capital. It is the foundation of the laterresearch in theory. The third chapter introduces the present situation ofintergenerational income mobility at first, and then through theinter-generational income elasticity using the latest data of CHNSdatabase and Least Squares (OLS), we understand the Chinese familyintergenerational income mobility by international comparison. Studiesshow that compared to middle-income families in both urban and rural households, intergenerational income mobility in the high-incomefamilies and low-income families is small, especially the high-incomeand low-income families in the rural with severe wealth and povertygeneration.The fourth chapter introduces three passing paths tointergenerational income. That is education, health and occupation.Then SPSS14.0is adopted in the empirical test part using CHNSdatabase. We study the influence of human capital to theintergenerational income mobility through education, health andoccupation factors. In the fifth chapter, we put forward sound humancapital policy recommendations to promote the rationalintergenerational income mobility.
