Performance Evaluation Of Agricultural Listed Companies

As a traditional agricultural country, traditional agriculture with "intensive" as therepresentative still accounts for most of China’s agriculture. While traditional agriculture hasthousands of years of mature experience, but the small scale of production, management andproduction techniques still lags behind, the poor ability to resist natural disasters, lowefficiency of agro-ecosystems, goods economically weaker, so it unable to adapt to the currentmarket economy. Through continuous investment, new technologies in modern agricultureimprove agricultural production units and the quality of agricultural products, save energy andimprove the ecological environment, and allow farmers to participate in a wide range ofspecialized production and social division of labor, so that the scattered farmers transfer toco-operative economy and the industrial direction. Modern agriculture is a agriculture ofsteady growth, the fundamental way to solve issues of agriculture, farmer and rural area.As the representative of China’s advanced productive forces of agriculture, the birth anddevelopment of agriculture listed company has an important significance for the adjustment ofagricultural structure and promote the industrialization of agriculture, increase agriculturaloperational efficiency, enhance the international competitiveness of agriculture, accelerateagricultural modernization.In this paper, we introduced the general theory of data envelopment analysis (DEA)method and the application of overall efficiency in the evaluation of agricultural listedcompanies; and discussed the overall efficiency of agricultural listed companies evaluationmethod by using static and dynamic methods; then according to index system principles andrequirements and DEA evaluation of listed companies,we built the technical efficiency ofagricultural input and output evaluation index system; based on the analysis we evaluated theoverall efficiency of status of China’s agricultural listed companies.Based on the analysis of the efficiency evaluation of domestic and international status,we adopt comparative study and a combination of theory and practice method; evaluateefficiency of agricultural listed companies conducted a systematic study with DEA model.Based on these findings, we conclude with an recommendations of improving overallefficiency of agriculture-related listed companies: control levels of debt in order to optimize the capital structure; increase efforts to expand the scale of financing; strengthentechnological innovation to improve product competitiveness; the development of appropriatedevelopment plans; to do for the agricultural industry guide listed companies; to strengtheninfrastructure, pave the way for agricultural companies; increase support for efforts to fosterleading enterprises...
