Rencently in such a period when industrialization, urbanization and agricultural modernization are carried out simultaneously, our country has a rising demand for resources, which makes the land department stuck in a dilemma of promoting development and protecting resources. So the department must adjust its management concepts and management approach, clarify its management functions and adhere to exploration and innovation, in order to reach a novel situation of low-cost, intensification and high-efficiency with significantly improving its administrative efficiency.This paper studies on the performance appraisal system of f nanning land resources bureau. Learning the advanced performance management approaches of public servants from some western countries, especially America, added with the development process, current situation of f nanning land resources bureau and research on all subordinate units of f nanning land resources bureau, this paper applied document analysis method, interviewing method and so on to survey the application of performance appraisal in the office, analyze problems lying in the appraisal management and optimize the existing system. It aimed at coming up with a practically performance appraisal system and relevant appraisal methods on public servants, in order to improve the administrative efficiency of f nanning land resources bureau significantly.Through research, nanning land resources bureau should improve the performance appraisal system from five.deepening awareness of appraisal and enhancing the sense of the whole picture, carry out the construction of informatizing land and resources earnestly, set up sustainable mechanism on each aspect, specify the appraisal content which means different appraisal methods being applied on different posts, improve the appraisal methods, combining qualitative objective and quantitative objective, daily appraisal and year-end appraisal, regularize appraisal procedure, establish a sound supervisory mechanism to realize a appraisal based on responsibility system, apply360degree evaluation mode to perfect appraisal main body, publish the appraisal results regularly, set up a motivation and feedback mechanism of the result. As a result, the general level of performance could leap forward significantly and remarkably.
