| With the implementation of the strategy of’build an innovation-oriented country’and’promote region economy’, enhancing the capabilities of regional innovation had become to be the core of regional development. Because the regional technological innovation system (RTIS) used as carrier of regional innovation capability, it is an important way to improve regional overall competitive ability by constructing and perfecting RTIS increasingly.Many theoretical and academic scholars had accredited gradually that ecological theory was applied to research the social and economic management issues. The similarity of structure and function between RTIS and natural ecosystem, which makes it has feasibility that using the ecological theory to study on the complexity of RTIS. For a long time, the studies of RTIS based on ecological perspective were mostly about developed countries or region, relatively deficiency on underdeveloped region. The Economic Zone of Beibu Gulf (Guangxi) belongs to the west region, since the level of economy development is lower than that in east region, this paper referring to the ecosystem and ecological niche theories to research this regional technological innovation system, concretely speaking, the suitable degree of developing innovation in this region based on the interaction between innovative subjects and environment.This paper first introduces theoretical foundation, analysis and comments on research status at home and abroad of RTIS. Secondly, discussing the connotations, functions, elements, structural features of the regional technological innovation ecosystem (RTIE), and constructing the structure model and the suitability model of RTIE; then, establishing the suitability evaluation index system and assessment method of RTIE. Lastly, take the Economic Zone of Beibu Gulf (Guangxi) as empirical study, and put forward relevant suggestions to the evaluation results and existing problems. |
