A Study On Erp Financial Management System Based On Agile Financial Chain

As the information technology keeps on accelerating nowadays, more and moreenterprises introduces ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) to enhance theircompeting competence. For the enterprises, the values of applying ERP lie in unitingthe fund flow, material flow and information flow, speeding up the respond to themarket and improving the efficient and economic benefits by using the functions ofsystematic planning, controlling, etc., combining the optimized enterprise process andallocating all kinds of recourses effectively. Financial management system, as the coreof the ERP system, provides important information for management anddecision-making of the enterprises by integrating with other subsystems. Meanwhile,the rapid-changing market environment requires the enterprises’ information systemcan responds to the changes of every aspects, so as to support their own behavioralagility, which means the agility of the information system is needed. Therefore, whenconducting ERP, the enterprises must take a dynamic, flexible and low-cost financialbusiness as the basis, in order to ensure the agility of the financial managementsystem, and thereby achieve the agility of the enterprises.Firstly, this thesis makes a deep analysis of the ERP financial managementsystem theories. The background, connotation and characters are elaborated and ERPfinancial management system with the other subsystems and the analysis of functionalmodules is stated in the thesis.Secondly, the thesis describes the related theories of the agility. After clarifyingthe definition and characteristics of the agility, according to the features of theenterprises’ financial activities, the thesis proposes the concept of agile financial chain,and then elaborates the definition, features and the working mechanism. The thesisalso analyzes the agile financial chain deeply from three aspects: integration of thefinancial business, optimization of the process and event-driven. According to therelations of the agile financial chain and ERP system, the thesis suggests theframework of both. Then taking an electric company as an example, ERP financialmanagement system which is based on the agile financial chain is structured andcarried, combining present conditions of the company’s financial managementinformationization. Finally, based on the previous studies on agility, the thesis makes an agility evaluation of the effects of the financial management system and providessome guidance for the enterprises’ agility transition.The main achievements of the thesis:(1) Proposing the concept of the agile financial chain and clarifying thedefinition and features of the agile financial chain. The core ideas of the agilefinancial chain: integration of the financial business, optimization of the process andevent-driven are stressed and the combination of the three can gain the mellifluenceof every links of the agile financial chain.(2) Setting up the model of the fusing framework and putting the thought ofagile financial chain into the practice of ERP financial management system, accordingto the relationship of the agile financial chain and ERP financial management system.The thesis builds up integration and event-driven model and unites the optimizationof financial process to ensure ERP can be taken out smoothly.(3) Infusing the thoughts of the agile financial chain into the allocation of ERPfinancial management system by taking an electric company as the study object andanalyzing and investigating its present condition of the financial informationizationdevelopment.(4) According to the studies on the information system agility, the thesis sets upthe evaluation index system of ERP financial management agility to conductbenchmarking. Also, the thesis uses decision entropy model to evaluate the agilityeffects of the implement and obtain the value of the evaluation. At the same, on thebasis of the results of the index weight, the thesis gets the key indexes for the furtheroptimization of the financial management system.In the age of rapid development of the economy, the importance of theenterprises’ informationization increases gradually. And the application of ERPfinancial management system has got popular supports. So, we must learn about thevarious needs of the enterprises, standardize the links of the financial chain reasonably,ensure the mellifluence of the financial chain and take advantage of the ideas ofagility financial chain to prepare for smooth implement and effective operation ofERP.
