The Chinese Family Business Corporate Governance Theory And Empirical Studies

Since the reform and opening up, China’s private economy has made a great progress.Since the21st century, the private economy has become an integral part of China’seconomic structure. at the same time, stage of the private economy is not limited to thedomestic market, most of the private sector make business in the international economicarena. Family business enterprises is the most important part of the private economy inChina, along with economic development, the family business come by a large scale andmany of them are large groups of family businesses, thus the corporate governance ofChinese family business is causing more and more concern. Therefore, this family businesscorporate governance research has important theoretical and practical value.Research on the corporate governance of Chinese family business is focusing on twoaspects of the theoretical and empirical research. Theoretical research mainly aimed at thedeparture from the family business in China’s history, cultural background, combined withthe modern theory of corporate governance, exploring the patterns and structures ofcorporate governance of family business in China; supplemented by empirical research,empirical study of China’s electronic components listed family firms of the industry as asample, and attempted to analyze the sample enterprise corporate performance andcorporate governance structure, influence of family business corporate governancestructure on firm performance, finally the result can complement the theoretical study ofthe family business corporate governance structure. In this paper the theoretical aspectsand empirical aspects to explore the corporate governance of Chinese family business inthe current historical conditions and corporate governance structure, and in the concludingsection, combined with the successful experience of the family of Western and Japanesecompanies and overseas Chinese enterprises, I try my best to suggest some proposal toimprove our family business corporate governance the structure.
