With the continuous development of China economy, the domestic tourism market appeared alot of new and noteworthy phenomenon: more tourists tend to self-drive tourism, and rural tourismhas got more and more favored by tourists. New tourism market will continue to be found,especially with the natural scenery of the rural tourism market showed scenes of prosperity. thedevelopment of rural tourism can promote the rural labor obtain employment, increase farmerincome, raise agricultural product added value, improve rural industry structure, for theconstruction of the new countryside has a strong practical significance, therefore has the localgovernment attention. Rural tourism development is to settle our country3farming the efficientway of the problem, also the intrinsic request of constructing harmonious socialist society. Thegovernment called for the farmer to participate in the development of rural tourism in rural areas.Farmers’ expected to make full use of rural resources, through the development and operation oftourism industry, further improve the living environment and conditions, to obtain a certaineconomic profit. On the farmers’ participation in rural tourism development process, the factorswhich restrict its development decision, it’s a question for further smooth development of ruraltourism.This paper is divided into five parts: the first part is an introduction, mainly introduces thewriting background writing theory and practical significance, the framework for the introductionof. The second part is literature review and analysis, through to the domestic and foreign literature,found that the domestic in the aspect of rural tourism development and management research isvery few still. The third part is the basic theory are described, including the sustainabledevelopment theory, social exchange theory and push pull theory. The fourth part is the empiricalanalysis part. The results show that: the farmers’ age, gender, the amount of the loan, the loansupport policy, management skills training, operating from the main road and traffic conditionsaffecting the distance the village farmers’ participation in rural tourism development the significant decision variables. The fifth part is the policy proposal, according to the empiricalresults, try to put forward to be helpful for the development of rural tourism and the related policysuggestion.
