Research On Agriculture Products Trade Of China And Vietnam

China and Vietnam are two neighboring countries, which share the same mountains andrivers. In its development history, the diplomacy, the economic, the cultural and the traderelationship was built early. Agricultural products trade is an important cooperation field inthe bilateral trade-economic. Since the beginning of this new century, the agriculturalproduct trade has developed rapidly with big trade amount, high increment’s rate, tradeprospect is fine. Agricultural products trade and Agricultural cooperation is an forerunimportant item in the China-Asean FTA construction process. Vietnam likes the bridgebetween China and Asean. Agricultural product trade between China and Vietnam’s plays animportant role in the China and Asian Nations’s agricultural product trade. Therefore, thedevelopment of Agricultural product trade between two countries can speed up CAFTAconstruction process.This report starts from the comparison of China and Vietnam agricultural productsexport status, and China–Vietnam agricultural product trading situation. By using the ExportSimilarity Index analysis, we are to find out the existent competition relation among them.Final we get the conclusion and countermeasure for develop the trade produce between thetwo countries.The paper is composed of six parts. First of all, the paper introduces the researchbackground, research purposes, research ideas, research methods and so on; secondly,indicates that China concentrates in the labour intensive agricultural products, but Vietnam’sadvantages are in the labour intensive products, land intensive products and resourcesintensive products; thirdly, By using the Export Similarity Index, the paper analysed Chinaand Vietnam agricultural product export construction. China and Vietnam have formed acompetition relation regarding agricultural product export structure, but this sort ofcompetition relation only focuses on the labour intensive products; fourthly, by using theRevealed Comparative Advantage Index, analysed twonation’s agricultural products. China’sindex number is higher than Vietnam’s in thearea of the labour intensive products. But in thearea of resources intensive products and land intensive products Vietnam is higher than China.reveals that Vietnam agricultural product export structure has a quite high matching ratio of 1.05to China agricultural product import structure, whereas China has0.52to Vietnam; Five,the author give some ideas in order to improve agricultural product trade’s situation; finally,proposed development of the trade in agricultural products by China–Vietnamcountermeasures have been studied effectively and concluded with results.
