A Study On Current Situation,Developmcnt Prospect And Countermeasures Of Agricultural Products Foreign Trade Of China

China as a leading agricultural country, agricultural products foreign trade plays an very important role in China’s foreign trade. Especially after joining the WTO, it has profound consequences on the issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers. In recent years, our agricultural products foreign trade has faced severe challenges, for the increase of agricultural product return, the disadvantage situation caused by the increase of the exchange rate of the RMB and the unreasonable export structure. To find out the main problems and reasons existing in the agricultural products foreign trade, having a great significance to promote agricultural products foreign trade and the development of rural economic.Firstly, this paper aims at analyzing the current status of agricultural products trade and then points out its law of development by using the data of the foreign trade of agricultural products direction, the total export volume and the export commodities structure. However, by the analysis of data and cases, we can know the reasons of causing severe challenges. On one hand, China’s low level of agricultural industrialization which restricts the export of agricultural products, on the other hand the export of agricultural products have less competitive, and the ability to resist risk and the scale of agricultural enterprises are very low. Agricultural enterprises face financing difficulties, while trade barriers of agricultural products become higher and higher. The export of agricultural products becomes more and more difficult, the increasing appreciation of the RMB have restrictions on agricultural exports. Therefore the development of our agricultural products foreign trade not only depends on the government’s policy support, but also relys on the actively promoting the industrialization of agriculture. We should increase the informatization degree of agricultural products trade, adjust the industrial structure, improve the qualities of products, enhance the international competitiveness of agricultural products, perfect the legal system, and increase the support to agriculture. We also should actively respond to trade barriers and carry out the safety and quality management in the whole process to keep in line with the internationalized management early. We also point out the prospects of our agricultural products foreign trade. We shall make further progress toward the liberalization degree and further details of the strategy orientation. The trade will be long-term deficit, and the development of the trade structure will continue to be optimized.
