Developing Procsee Model Study On New Pump Product

In the case of today’s competitive knowledge-based economy, developingconstantly new products is key way to meet demand of market and improvethe core competitiveness of enterprises, but developing new product is a kindof investment with high risk. If not effectively address rational allocation ofresources, project alignment with corporate strategy, marketing, research andtechnology development and other issues, it is difficult for new productdevelopment obtain the expected return. To research a proper process for newproduct development is critical for companies committed to product innovation.Focusing on problem encountered in new product development, thisthesis seeks to develop a product development process to decrease technicaland economic risks on the project of new product development and shortenproduct development cycles and improve new product success rate. In the firstsection, the thesis describes the researching significance and study status ofboth domestic and international. Then, the second section describes existedprocess of developing new product and the problem of process, and stage-gate process and how to apply stage-gate theory in pump developmentproject in process modeling. In the third and fourth section, on specific casestudy, take five stages and gates of stage-gate process as main linethroughout the text, supplemented by portfolio management, quality functiondeployment, project management and lean6sigma knowledge to analyze themain activities of various stages and criteria of various gates of specific pumpNLT500-570developing projects. Finally, the fifth section summarizes theachievements and areas for further study.One new process of developing product is developed through this study ofthesis. It is effective to decrease variety of risks during new productdevelopment and significant improve the quality and efficiency of productdevelopment.
