Study On Import Complete Vehicle Program Quality Management

China has become the most import automobile market of the world recent years. Now the localand JV brands are the leaders of Entry, Midsize, and Premium Midsize Segments. But the Luxuryand Sporty Segments are still owned by global automobile companies, because of our localcompanies are limited by its technology and developing strategy. Since the total volume of luxuryand sporty models are not as high as its margin, currently these vehicles are mostly be introducedto China market as import method.This thesis is based on the hot import vehicle market of China and my working experienceof SGM import vehicle quality management. By analyzing the evolution of China import vehiclemarket and its quality management, figure out its storage and find out how a company who runsimport vehicle business can establish a quality management system that suits its real situation.Total Quality Management is referred to develop import vehicle program quality plan whichcontains initial quality review, non-saleable vehicle audit, road test, shipping protection, portinspection and quality liaison meeting. Stage-Gate System is used to execute quality events stagemanagement and quality status review during these events.According to the import vehicle business evolution trend in the future, the working directionof current business continuous improvement is also been forecasted.I wish this thesis can be help on enhance my business capability of import vehicle qualitymanagement and the quality performance of SGM. It will also be my honor if this thesis can be areference to improve China import vehicle quality performance.
