The purpose of this research is on the basis of the theory Six Sigma, contact thecompany’s actual situation, it is an actual case which is belonged to one of theVisteon’s joint venture, application of Six Sigma knowledge, a systematic analysis,digging, sorting, and effective sum up, making it a more systematic, easy tounderstand and promote Six Sigma classic case.The case in the thesis, in accordance with the definition of the Six Sigmamethod, measurement, analysis, improvement, Control (DMAIC) processimprovement Exploratory analyzes all aspects of the key points and was selectedbased on defining the welding yield as a key quality factors to be controlled andfound that the combination of a large number of low-quality cost caused by fakewelding process, through use brain storming, team work to find all possible key inputfactors, the application of hypothesis testing method one by one, and use orthogonaldesign method optimize the design to identify the best combination of weldingparameters. Verify the entire corrective measures are effective, the process capabilityindex increased from3sigma to5sigma level, the scrap rate is reduced from7%tobelow1%, annual savings of low-quality cost about1.2M RMB, and optimizationmethods and parameters recorded, the formation of the production of documents, sothat the optimization results to be consolidated. Combination of the common regularpattern to find out the Six Sigma methods which can effective to help enterpriseachieve the purpose of cost reduction and efficiency.
