As the tension of global energy, the standards of auto safety and the laws ofenvironment protection are more and more strict. The costs of auto manufacturing andsales are increasing. Meanwhile, the market of Chinese auto continued to mature,people constantly improve the standard of living, consumers know more about auto’sknowledge and quality. So the competition of car market is essentially the competitionof auto quality. Quality management is the quality assurance system of automanufacturer from product planning to meet customer demand for products production;it’s the key of survival and development for the enterprises in the market competition.In2001, domestic auto market slowdown the pace of development after nearly10years of continuous growth. This paper based on the background of car market isbecoming more and more serious, analysis the quality management status and pattern ofdomestic auto industry. This paper mainly introduced the related theory of qualitymanagement, the evaluation standard of AUDIT, the information feedback process ofQRK, the applications of quality management tools in the paint shop, the status ofquality management in FAW’s paint workshop, and the application of systematizationof supply in paint shop. Learning from foreign advanced quality managementexperience in auto industry, combined with the characteristics of FAW and the marketdemand, follow the objective laws of auto products, aro und the main business of FAW,based on the study of the whole process of auto products’ formation, analysis thequality management mode of FAW’s paint workshop.
