Study On Low-Carbon Tourism Development Mode In Underdeveloped Areas

In the twenty-first Century, global warming becomes a major threat to the sustainable development of human society. Climate issues have already become the common challenges of the whole world. In this case, low-carbon economy will guide the direction of the world economic development. Regarding the development of tourism, low carbon tourism, which comes down in one continuous line with low carbon economy, has gradually become a new trend of tourism development. This paper put forward five main models of low-carbon tourism of the developing areas, which is based on the foreign and domestic low-carbon tourism survey, and also combined with the developing areas’characteristics and resource advantages. The five modes are: natural resources protection development, cultural resourcesheritage and development, modern agricultural leisure sightseeing, industry science and technology sightseeing and experience, low carbon tourism industry innovation. This research takes Donghai County, Jiangsu province as an example, demonstrating comprehensive system of low carbon tourism models.The research result shows that low-carbon tourism development is one of the important strategic opportunities for developing area to implement economy transition and catch up with developed area.Therefore, developing area should seize opportunity, give rein to their advantages adequately, combine their resources characteristics and development conditions to draw on the advantages and avoid disadvantages, foster strengths and circumvent weaknesses, make the characteristic and brand, and then lead the development of other related industries through the tourism industry.
