Comprehension Exploitation Study On Tourist Resources In Yanling County Based On The Low-carbon Tourism Perspective

Yanling County, which lies to the southeast of Hunan Province, is a mountainous area with its forest coverage rate of 82.6%, and it's listed as a restricted development area in the division of main functional areas of Hunan Province. Yanling County is rich in diversified tourism resources, covering the cultural tourism, eco-tourism and red tourism, and developing tourism as an important way to promote the local economic development and improve people's living standards has received increasing attention from the local people and the government. In recent years, Yanling County has made great achievements in developing tourism, but due to its remote geographical environment, relatively backward socio-economic conditions and other factors, there are still some problems in the tourism resources development. The State Council released the Opinions of the State Council on Accelerating the Development of Tourism Industry on December,2009, which advocates in particular the low-carbon tourism to reduce as much as possible the carbon footprint and carbon dioxide emissions in travel, and puts forward new requirements for the tourism development. Under the new circumstances, how to make scientific decisions for the development of Yanling County's tourism resources from a strategic perspective, and how to enlarge the existing resources and develop potential resources to meet tourists' increasingly diversified and personalized tourism demands and to promote the regional economic development are of the practical significance. This thesis carries out the study mainly from following aspects:Firstly, this thesis makes a review of all researches on tourist resource development at home and abroad, and finds that there are few researches on tourist resource development conducted from the perspective of low-carbon tourist theory. In this situation, this thesis puts forward a theoretical basis, which is a combination of low-carbon tourist theory, location theory, the theory of sustainable development and the theory of rule of territorial differentiation, for the tourist resource development of Yanling County.Secondly, an overview of Yanling County's tourism resources is made on the basis of tourism resources' classification and object evaluation. This thesis carries out an evaluation of the development and utilization of tourism resources, conducts an in-depth analysis of the problems existed in tourism resource development.Thirdly, according to the low-carbon tourist theory and sustainable development theory, general ideas and basic principles about the comprehensive development of Yanling County's tourism resources are put forward. Based on the characteristics and distribution of tourism resources, the partitioned mode design of tourism resource development, and the empirical study of each mode, an organization of tour routes and new ideas of tourism product development are also advanced.Finally, policies about supporting and guaranteeing the comprehensive development of tourism resources in Yanling County are put forward under the guidance of low-carbon tourist theory and sustainable development theory.
