A Research On Entrepreneurship Environment Of Wuhan City Based On PEST Model

The entrepreneurship not only can influence the sustained development of a countryor a region, but also can solve the employment problem. That is, it has a strong influenceupon the harmony and stability of a society. However, entrepreneurship needsenvironment. A good entrepreneurship environment plays an important role in theimprovement of an entrepreneurial activity’s successful development. To some extent,entrepreneurship environment determines directly an entrepreneurial activity’s dynamismand entrepreneurship’s success or failure. Therefore, this paper begins with the meaning ofthe entrepreneurship environment. In order to reflect objectively and evaluate effectivelyentrepreneurship environment, we make a survey on Wuhan’s entrepreneurshipenvironment, and then put forward some policy suggestions, so as to make it more helpfulfor people’s entrepreneurship.In the beginning, this dissertation reviews the fundamental theory and analysis of theentrepreneurship environment and its analysis models. Then, based on PEST modeland the actual situation, this dissertation designs the index system which can reflectWuhan’s entrepreneurship environment. Next, questionnaires have been designed andhanded out to entrepreneurs in120small and medium-sized enterprises and some othertraders concerning entrepreneurship, and102effective questionnaires are obtained. Finally,this paper analyzes the results of the questionnaires. It also evaluates Wuhan’sentrepreneurship environment.At present, the entrepreneurship environment of Wuhan has the advantages toimprove its internal and external conditions. For example, the support of the governmentpolicy is not adequate; financing channel is not free; business environment andinfrastructure cannot satisfy the needs; entrepreneurship atmosphere is inactive andscience and technology are not fully used. Therefore, we should strive to provide loose policy environment, good economic environment, open social environment and favorabletechnological environment.
